The pat-waing is part of the traditional Burmese orchestra, being a set of 21 drums in an elaborately carved and decorated circle stand made up of eight sections, one with an access door. The panels are linked together and can be taken apart.
The player of the drum stands or sits in the middle of the circle, playing the various drums. The panels of this particular drum circle have been intricately carved from teak wood with various vegetal and geometric symbolic motifs, painted with dry lacquer and further embellished.
Incredibly decorative and could be repurposed in a garden environment (a fancy dog pen possibly) of simply split and used as the most wonderful wall hangings.
